Welcome. My name is Amber Russell and I would like to tell you about my service project. Over the
last 27 weeks I had the opportunity to be a Catechist to a group of first graders. Thanks in part to my
church, The Church of St. Patrick's of Cedar Creek, and 11 eager to learn first graders, I was able to complete a once in
a lifetime project.
In the following pages I will introduce to you a little bit of what the project was about and a little bit
about the students. The interesting thing about all of this, is that it is not just about me teaching, but about the students
learning. Which is a great experience for the both of us.
